DAB Tsinanfu branch |
 |
The DAB branch in Tsinanfu was opened at the end of 1914 as the first foreign bank in this city in the province of Shantung. Until the winter of 1918, DAB had had a business office in the "Chinese City". It was only in this year that the branch was moved to Westvorstadt, the foreigners' neighbourhood, into its own building. However, it also retained its previous office, primarily for transacting business with the locals. For this reason, the branch Director frequently commuted between the two offices until a telephone connection was established. In 1917, the branch was closed and wound down.
